FICS, the international organization representing the specialty of sports chiropractic, has appointed Dr. Philip Santiago of Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey, USA as Acting Secretary-General.
Dr. Santiago has served as Medical Director for teams and games events in many sports including football, rugby, boxing, gymnastics and athletics. In 1992 he served as team chiropractor for the US Olympic Team at the Barcelona Olympic Games. Read the Press Release.
FICS strengthened relationships with the International Sports Family are seeing some important milestones in 2009. In two weeks time, in early July, a FICS team of 35 chiropractors are attending the World Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. In October, sports chiropractic will be an important part of the Masters Games in Sydney following arrangements made by the Australian Chiropractic

LKR-kiropraktorn Per Lidefelt, har vidareutbildat sig och nu fått sin ICSSD (International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma). The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic / Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS), som är en global organisation och partner till World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC), utfärdar ICSSD.
