David Cassidy appointed Honorary Professor at the SDU
David Cassidy
Effective November 1st 2009 John David Cassidy has been appointed as Honorary Professor in Clinical Biomechanics at the Faculty of health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark for a period of five years. David Cassidy holds a chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Toronto, Canada, a PhD degree in pathology from University of Saskatoon, Canada and a Dr Med Sc degree in injury epidemiology from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.
Cassidy is undoubtedly one of the most productive and widely published researchers with a chiropractic background, he has presented his research at hundreds of scientific meetings often as an invited speaker, and he has served as chairman and scientific secretary in several international task forces over the years, most recently the Decade of the Bone and Joint 2000-2010 Task Force on Neck Pain.
“We feel extremely fortunate that David Cassidy has accepted this appointment” says Jan Hartvigsen Professor and Director of Research at the Research Unit of Clinical Biomechanics at the University of Southern Denmark. “We look forward to working with him and his group at the University of Toronto and the Toronto Western Hospital in developing collaborative research projects and benefiting from his advice on strategic and scientific matters in the years to come.”
